Success Stories: Kayleigh's Story

Kayleigh: My husband always made me feel like a beauty queen – now I am!

Kayleigh’s fourth weight loss boosted her confidence and she wouldn’t have been able to do it without her husband’s support

Make a change I’ve always been a happy, optimistic person. But after seeing my unflattering photo, I lost all confidence. With my wedding to Liam just three months away, I knew I had to make a change.

Quick Fix Didn’t Work To get quick results, I went on a quick meal replacement diet and lost a little weight, but on my honeymoon I piled it all back on—and more. When a friend recommended Weight Watchers to me as a healthy and sustainable way to lose weight, I joined.

First loss in the first month!

After my first meeting, my coach Danielle helped me understand that my relationship with food was not healthy. I ate for comfort when I was sad and as a reward when I was happy. I lost 1st in the first month and I was thrilled!

Being a coach

There were a few hiccups and obstacles along the way, but I eventually managed to get down to 12st 11lb – a long way from my starting weight of over 16. I then qualified as a Weight Watchers trainer, which gave me the confidence to put myself in front of others and motivate them on their own journeys.

Participation in a beauty contest

With Liam’s encouragement, I applied for a galactic beauty pageant. He suggested it would be a great way to show off a confident new self, inspire other members and promote the success of Weight Watchers.

They change lives

I’ve been lucky enough to be crowned Mrs County Durham Galaxy and compete in an upcoming national event that I couldn’t have imagined two years ago! It’s a testament to how determination – and Weight Watchers – together can change lives.
