‘At least we can all look better!’ Simon Cowell, 62, has claimed ’65 is the new 40′ and revealed he feels the same as he did in 1999… after vowing to ditching Botox since it left him looking like a ‘horror show’ (pictured in 2022)
He told The Mirror: ‘I just say 65 is the new 40. When I was 40, I thought, ‘God, what am I going to do when I’m 60?’ And I’ve got to be honest with you, I kind of feel the same as I did then.
‘Thank goodness, we can all look and feel a bit better. It’s all about energy.
‘I’ve seen people at 50 look exhausted, terrible. Haven’t got it. And in reverse, I’ve seen people in their 80s who’ve still got it mentally, who look good, feel good and run marathons.’
It comes after David Walliams playfully joked that Simon lost 20lbs with the help of a gastric band in a playful jibe at his fellow Britain’s Got Talent judge.

Speaking about the uncanny magician, the record executive admitted: ‘I wasn’t thrilled. He was what I would call probably a semi professional and we liked it because we have a lot of little magic acts, like playing cards.
‘His was very big and I popped out of nowhere but our audience loves magic acts. That wasn’t my favourite part of the show, though.’
The Little Britain star soon chimed in: ‘You need to behave. He could only be your double if he had some plastic surgery,’ before Simon let slip: ‘I was thinking that.’
‘You’ve obviously lost weight naturally!’ It comes after David Walliams (right) playfully joked Simon Cowell (left) shed 20lbs with a gastric band before the BGT mogul branded him ‘desperate’ (pictured in 2020)
A cheeky David added: ‘Also a gastric band,’ before his co-star insisted: ‘I haven’t got a gastric band!’
The children’s author joked, ‘I’m not saying you have, you’ve obviously lost weight naturally.
David went on to quip that Simon had gone under the knife in order to achieve his age-defying visage.
He said: ‘He looks younger and younger every year, I don’t know how he does it,’ with an irritated Simon hitting back: ‘It’s called exercise and eating well, David.’
‘Also, I don’t do a whole campaign when I’m nominated for one of these judges, which I’ve actually seen him do, he never stops. He’s telling all of his followers to vote for him. I mean, that’s desperate.’

He quipped: ‘He did my blood work and pee and all the rest of it, and a month later the results came in and his words were, “You have the worst diet out of all the clients I have ever seen in my life — you have a schoolboy’s diet from the 1960s.”‘

WHAT IS AN E-BIKE?
An e-bike is a regular bike with the addition of a battery-powered motor. When you pedal, the motor kicks in to inject extra power up to a maximum speed of 15mph – the legal limit.
Any faster than that and you’ll have to go under your own steam.
E-bikes have gears and brakes. You are in full control of the motor and can switch it on and off as often as you like.
There’s no need to worry about the battery running out, as if it does, you can just keep on riding like you would a normal bike.
Simon was riding a a Das Spitzing Evolution S-Pedelec bike, which costs upwards of £7921 and has top speeds of 27 miles per hour.
The bike has been described as ‘one for professionals’ as a lighter frame and battery result in no limits when riding uphill or downhill.
The power pack has an 120Nm torque which provides up to 550% support for your own pedalling performance on request.
The combination of FOX suspension with up to 160 mm travel on the front and rear wheels and 650+ tyres provides more ease with pedalling uphill.
