Kate Garraway found herself at the center of cosmetic surgery on Thursday’s Good Morning Britain when her co-star Richard Arnold joked that they were both seeing the same doctor.

The long-time TV presenter, 54, discussed her lost phone with co-presenter Richard Bacon, which led to a funny remark.

Earlier in the morning he had borrowed Kate’s device to make a call, but never returned it.

Richard Arnold, 52, revealed he discovered Kate’s phone outside weather presenter Laura Tobin’s dressing room and teased there might be a selfie on her camera.

Kate replied, “You probably could have unlocked it with Face ID because we look a lot alike.”

Richard then joked: “That’s because we both go to the same doctor, Kate.”

The comment was well received by the host, who burst into laughter before delivering her own quip: “If only!”

Kate has previously said she considered going under the knife for cosmetic procedures because she was worried her wrinkles would show up on TV.

She explained: “I’ve wanted a facelift quite obsessively for ages. But everyone said it wouldn’t make any difference at all.’

The Good Morning Britain make-up artist advised her to focus on her diet, fitness and lifestyle choices before surgery.

The mother-of-two also recalled how her husband Derek Draper provided her with the comfort and reassurance she needed.

“My husband thought I was crazy. He said, “Don’t do it!” They think it’s ridiculous. He wouldn’t want me to do it,” she said.

Earlier this month, Kate detailed how she is struggling with ‘loss’ amid Derek’s long recovery from Covid.

The host opened up about the fight during an episode of Your Body Uncovered, detailing how his ongoing health battle has put a strain on their relationship.

Derek, also 54, returned home from hospital in April 2021 after a year-long battle with Covid and still requires round-the-clock care.

Kate said: “When something is neurological, it’s not just taking care of the physical problem, it affects the relationship.

“I think it’s a loss, it’s a loss for them in the fact that they’ve changed in some way, but there’s a loss that you have to adjust to as a partner as well.”
