Lip flips are a popular non-permanent cosmetic procedure in which a small amount of botox is injected above the upper lip. By relaxing the muscle, the lip “flips out” and creates a fuller pout, without fillers.

However, because the jab freezes the muscles, there can be unintended side effects, which Pamela points out in her video, which has amassed 1.9 million views. Pictured: a photo of a woman receiving a botox injection in her face.

Pamela revealed that she experiences some of these effects and is currently unable to blow into a cup of tea to cool it or apply lipstick. She also said she will avoid Botox in the future and instead go for lip fillers - a more expensive option.

Pamela filmed before the procedure and then again five days later. In the video she says: ‘Today is day five of the lip flip and it’s the most annoying thing ever. I can see a slight difference, but it’s all in the middle of my lip and not so much on the sides. It’s really annoying when I talk and say words like “bobby”.’

She also revealed to viewers that she currently struggles with pouty lips and blowing hot drinks

It is also difficult for her to drink properly now, and she said, “Drink [is also a challenge]. Trying to hold it in your mouth is actually so hard.” As for hot drinks, she added: “Another annoying thing you can’t do is blow out a cup of tea.

Pamela summed up her experience by saying that she “wouldn’t recommend to a friend” and that people should “stick to fillers”, adding that “the results are not worth the hassle”.

Reactions to the video were mixed, with some saying they didn't have the same lip-smacking effects, others saying they now question whether to do it, while others laughed at the clip.
